About Home Turf Treatment
As much as we love our pets and want to support them with their veterinary recommended treatment(s), it can be difficult for several reasons.
·Your schedule
·Pet tolerance
·Medication/treatment type
·Owner ability
·Treatment schedule
·And let’s be honest… LIFE!
These are common reasons that have been shared by clients regarding completing and managing the veterinary recommendations at home. Whether it be regular ear cleanings, eye medications, injections, wound care, or pet weight loss. As a mother and someone who works full-time, with regular family events, or travel plans. I get it! This is when Home Turf Treatment comes in to help. We supply the experience of medicating, injecting, treating, and managing your precious pets, at their favorite place - home. Frequently, we have found that pets that have had inconsistent treatment and/or medicating at home, return to their follow up appointments having only improved slightly, stayed the same, or even grew worse. This can mean continued treatment/medicating, or a more extensive treatment, if they have worsened. You will need to return to the veterinarian in these cases. Inconsistent treatment can lead to a misdiagnosis. If your pet receives the consistent recommended treatment and does not improve or has continued issues, it can be easier for your veterinarian to advise in the next steps, as well as whether there should be more extensive diagnostics performed for your pet’s health. Inconsistent medicating/treatment makes it difficult to discern if your if there is a chronic issue or medicating has not helped because of inconsistency. That is where Home Turf Treatment wants to help. Review your veterinary recommended medications and/or treatments with a Home Turf Treatment Veterinary Technician. Let us assist you by coming to your home to complete simple treatments/medicating.

FAQs
Do you administer vaccinations?
Home Turf Treatment does not perform exams or administer vaccinations as examinations are only to be performed by a licensed veterinarian. Due to the risk of possible vaccine reactions, your veterinarian is able to offer free emergency measures if your pet is vaccinated with them.
Can you provide documentation of treatments that are performed for my DVM?
Yes. You will have a client portal and all visits, along with the treatment(s) performed will be appropriately documented. These documentations can be shared via email, text, or hardcopy.
Can you do blood draws?
Our technicians have the ability to perform blood draws, however due to transport and the individual laboratory variations between clinics, Home Turf Treatment does not offer this service at this time.
Meet our founder!
Hello, my name is April, a devoted worker and advocate for animals. My calling has been to work closely with animals in veterinary medicine. After 4 years with animal control, I decided to further my experience and education as an official veterinary technician within a veterinary hospital setting. Now 15 years into this journey as a veterinary technician, having had many experiences with incredible veterinarians, surgeons, and veterinary technicians. I am ready to create a new unique way to help animals and their owners. The higher pet to vet ratio has brought on many challenges. I see this out-patient vet tech treatment as being a pathway to support my fellow vet med comrades and pet owners. I am looking forward to this new endeavor supporting pet parents and their beloved animals.
